Pillar 01 · Core program

Food Security

Ensuring every family has access to nutritious food, including fresh produce, plant-based, and allergy-friendly options.

Food assistance may be available nationwide. Local distributions and delivery routes vary by funding and inventory.

Our core food program

Food Pantries

Food assistance is available through Grab N Go Markets, Pop-Up Pantries, Outreach Pantries, and Mobile Pantries. Distribution formats are designed to meet people where they are and support dignity and choice.

Core

Grab N Go Markets

Client-choice, market-style access to available pantry staples, fresh produce, plant-based foods, and allergy-friendly options.

Core

Pop-Up Pantries

Time-limited distributions hosted with community, faith, school, and business partners.

Core

Outreach Pantries

Food and resources delivered through partner sites and community outreach activities.

Core

Mobile Pantries

Food distributions that travel to communities with transportation or access barriers.

Inclusive food choices

Healthier options for more households

Available items vary with donations and supply, but the program actively seeks options that support dietary needs and healthier eating.

Fresh Produce

Fruits and vegetables sourced through farms, retailers, food-rescue partners, and community donors.

Vegantry

Plant-based, vegan, and allergy-friendly options that make inclusive food access easier.

Food Waste Reduction

Safe surplus food is redirected from landfills to families and community partners.

Access outside pantry hours

Emergency Food Locker

This is an electronic locker system—similar to an Amazon locker—not a prepacked food-box program. Assigned compartments contain non-perishable foods for families in need and can be accessed with a locker number and code during approved hours.

  • Non-perishable pantry staples

  • Discreet electronic access

  • Pre-registration and assigned code required

  • Located at VFW Post 6449 inside Duncan Park

For transportation barriers

Local and nationwide delivery

Food delivery supports people without adequate transportation and is coordinated through volunteer drivers and delivery partners. Local Friday routes, store-to-home delivery, nationwide assistance, and limited international requests have separate availability requirements.

Secondary food-access program

Feeding ALL Families

Food Pantries remain Feeding GA Families’ core program. Feeding ALL Families is a separate Public Benefit Company that helps expand access and build sustainable support for the nonprofit.

For transportation barriers

Feeding ALL Families uses discount farmers markets, grocery markets, and pop-up mobile markets to provide low-cost healthy food options in underserved areas. Revenue is reinvested into Feeding GA Families programs and free food distributions.

Request food assistance

Use one application to request food help alone or together with other types of assistance.

Feeding GA Families is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. IRS EIN 81-4028052. Food assistance may be available nationwide; housing, workforce/youth development, and other vital-resource services are countywide or statewide and depend on funding, eligibility, inventory, and capacity.
